We are delighted to stock high quality glass crystal and resin rhinestones, in addition to jelly resin rhinestones. All our rhinestones are flatback and require an adhesive. Our choice is Liquid Fusion glue which can be purchased on our website.

    What does AB mean?

AB stands for Aurora Borealis and is named after its likeness to the splendor of the northern lights. These are standard coloured rhinestones with a rainbow-like coating. This gives off a special iridescent finish, reflecting primarily shades of gold, blue and pink.

  • Comparison chart of crystal glass and resin/jelly rhinestones with key features including material, shine, durability, application, and cost.

What's the difference between crystal and resin?

Crystal – high-quality glass rhinestones with a brushed silver backing. Rhinestones with a shiny foil-like backing. Projects with crystal rhinestones are sturdier thanks to the unique bond they can achieve.

*These stones can be purchased in individual colors.

Jelly – resin rhinestones with an AB finish. They are named for their fun candy colors. These are a cost-effective alternative to crystal glass and a fun product to use in colorful projects.

  • A chart explaining what a gross of rhinestones is, including images of two handfuls of purple rhinestones. The chart details how many pieces are in various weights of gross, such as 10 gross being 1,440 pieces, 2 gross being 288 pieces, and so on, with definitions using dozens and pieces in each category.

    What does "gross" rhinestone mean?

A gross is a dozen dozens = 144 pieces. Manufacturers often package rhinestones in units of gross or dozens mainly used only in glass rhinestones.

     1 gross = 144 pieces (12 dozen or 12²)

    10 gross =1,440 stones (12² x 10)

  • A display of blue rhinestones called Hotfix Glass Rhinestones, with a note explaining they are only available as glass. The image shows a rhinestone applicator and an iron used for attaching the stones to clothing, with examples of rhinestones applied to fabric spelling out words.

    Wha are Hotfix rhinestones?

are special rhinestones that already have a layer of heat-activated glue on their flat back.
When you heat them (usually with a hotfix applicator tool, a heat press, or an iron), the glue melts and sticks the rhinestone securely to fabric or other surfaces.

    Key points about hotfix rhinestones:

Pre-glued: They come with glue already applied — no extra glue needed.

Heat-activated: They need heat to melt the glue and attach properly.

Popular for: Clothes, hats, bags, and fabric crafts because the bond is strong and long-lasting.

Not for: Smooth, non-porous surfaces like glass, plastic, or metal (unless using special adhesives).

In short: Hotfix rhinestones make decorating fabrics easier and neater because you just heat and press — no messy gluing!

    Rhinestone Placement Patterns

When placing rhinestones there are a few different techniques that are generally used.  Above are our placement guides.  Take note that the honeycomb, scatter and cushion methods have better coverage and allow less gaps.  Painting the background of your project the same color will also camouflage gaps.  Circular patterns are generally only used when covering tumbler lids or other circular objects.
